Trees at Hesnaes.

The fishing village of Hesnæs is worth a visit. The houses are, according to old tradition, covered with reeds to protect the east wind, and appear very idyllic. Fresh fish are also sold at the harbor.South of the city is a dam and then forest. The sandy beach stretches from Hesnæs harbor, further below the dam to a distance past the start of the forest, until Pomle Nakke, where there is a restaurant on the cliff, where you can buy food and drinks. Parking is available throughout the dam and to the start of the forest.
